  • 1 8-10 inch flour tortilla
  • ¼ cup grilled chicken breast (sliced)
  • 23 slices deli ham
  • 4 slices Swiss or Provolone cheese
  • 2 tablespoons toasted breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • For the sauce: 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • dash hot sauce (optional)
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and whisk in flour and chicken bouillon for about 1–2 minutes.
  2. Gradually add milk while whisking continuously until thickened; stir in mustard and optional hot sauce. Add Parmesan cheese until smooth.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and layer one tortilla with cheese, ham, breadcrumbs, chicken, sauce, more breadcrumbs, and another layer of cheese. Top with another tortilla.
  4. Cook each side until golden brown (3–4 minutes) before slicing into wedges.
