Ingredients
- 150 g crab meat or imitation crab meat (Surimi)
- ½ onion, diced
- 2 spring onions, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 120 mL whole milk
- ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
- Neutral oil for frying
Instructions
- Sauté the diced onion and spring onions in butter until translucent. Add crab meat and cook for another 3 minutes.
- Cool the mixture before combining it with a prepared bechamel sauce (made by whisking melted butter with flour and milk).
- Chill the combined mixture in the fridge for at least one hour.
- Shape into balls, coat with flour, egg, and then panko breadcrumbs.
- Fry in hot oil until golden brown on each side.
