  • 12 slices Texas toast
  • 8 teaspoons mayonnaise
  • ⅓ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon (about 3 cloves) garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup

Instructions

  1. Caramelize the onions by melting butter in a skillet over medium-low heat. Add sliced onions and cook for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Form into eight square patties.
  3. Cook patties in a skillet over medium-high heat for about 1-2 minutes per side until browned.
  4. Toast four slices of Texas toast until golden brown.
  5. Prepare aioli spread by mixing mayonnaise, lemon juice, pepper, minced garlic, parsley, and ketchup in a bowl.
  6. Assemble the sandwiches with layers of cheese, patties, caramelized onions, and aioli between slices of Texas toast.
