  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
  • 8 oz pasta (penne or fusilli recommended)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons freshly cracked black pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente (9-11 minutes). Drain and reserve ½ cup of pasta water.
  2. Slice chicken into thin strips. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, then cook chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from pan.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant. Stir in honey, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes; let bubble for 1 minute.
  4. Add chicken back to the skillet and toss with the sauce. Combine with drained pasta, using reserved water as needed.
  5. Serve garnished with fresh parsley and Parmesan cheese.
