Instructions
- Macerate ¾ cup of diced strawberries with 1 tablespoon of sugar in a bowl. Set aside.
- In a saucepan, combine the remaining 2 cups of diced strawberries, 3 tablespoons of sugar, and lemon juice. Boil briefly, then simmer for about 10 minutes until syrupy.
- Cool the strawberry syrup in the fridge.
- In a glass, mix 2-3 tablespoons of syrup with ¾ cup non-dairy milk and ice if desired. Top with macerated strawberries and stir gently to combine.
