  • 2 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • 12 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • ⅔ cup fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, salt, and baking powder. Stir in melted butter until crumbly.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking pan.
  4. Bake for about 15 minutes or until lightly golden; set aside to cool.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, egg yolks, heavy cream, salt, and lemon juice until smooth.
  6. Pour the filling over the baked crust and return to the oven for another 15-20 minutes until set.
  7. Allow cooling completely before cutting into squares.
