- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup light brown sugar
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- 12 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
- 4 large egg yolks
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- ⅔ cup fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, salt, and baking powder. Stir in melted butter until crumbly.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Bake for about 15 minutes or until lightly golden; set aside to cool.
- In another bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, egg yolks, heavy cream, salt, and lemon juice until smooth.
- Pour the filling over the baked crust and return to the oven for another 15-20 minutes until set.
- Allow cooling completely before cutting into squares.
