  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika (plus more for garnish)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: Crumbled turkey bacon, chopped chives or parsley

Instructions

  1. Boil the eggs in a saucepan with water; once boiling, cover and let sit off heat for 10 minutes.
  2. Transfer cooked eggs to an ice bath for cooling before peeling.
  3. Slice eggs in half lengthwise and place yolks in a mixing bowl.
  4. Mash yolks until smooth, then mix in mayonnaise, softened butter, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, sugar, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until creamy.
  5. Fill egg whites with the yolk mixture using a piping bag or spoon.
  6. Garnish with extra smoked paprika and optional toppings. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.
