  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed light or dark
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 4 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Warm milk to 110°F and mix with yeast; let sit until frothy.
  2. Combine eggs, food dye, flour, cocoa powder, salt, sugar, and softened butter with the yeast mixture; beat to form smooth dough.
  3. Knead dough on a floured surface until elastic, then let rise in a greased bowl until doubled in size.
  4. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon for filling; roll out dough and spread butter over it before sprinkling the filling.
  5. Roll tightly into a log, slice into pieces, and let rise again before baking at 350°F for about 25 minutes.
