Instructions

  2. Add the egg, egg yolk, vanilla extract, and red food coloring; mix until combined.
  3. Gradually incorporate flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt; mix until just combined.
  4. Fold in half of the white chocolate chips evenly into the dough.
  5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill overnight in the refrigerator.
  6. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  7. Roll chilled dough into balls and place on prepared sheets about 1-1/2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 12-13 minutes until edges are firm but centers remain soft.
  9. Sprinkle remaining white chocolate chips on warm cookies right after removing from oven.
  10. Let cool on a wire rack before storing in an airtight container.
