  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups coarsely crushed pretzels
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with whisked eggs and mustard, and the last with crushed pretzels.
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in egg mixture, then coat thoroughly in crushed pretzels.
  5. Place breaded chicken on the prepared tray and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown (internal temperature should reach 74°C).
  6. While baking, heat half of the milk in a saucepan; stir in half of the cheddar until melted. Add remaining milk, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  7. Serve chicken hot drizzled with mustard-cheddar sauce.
