  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (1 cup for filling, 1 cup for biscuits)
  • 1½ cups seafood stock
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • ½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • Whole milk (â…“ cup plus more if needed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and sauté minced garlic, chopped onion, and diced celery until soft.
  3. Stir in flour to form a roux; cook for about 1 minute.
  4. Gradually whisk in seafood stock and heavy cream; stir until thickened (5–7 minutes).
  5. Season with Old Bay, salt, and pepper; fold in shrimp and lobster until just cooked.
  6. For the biscuit topping, combine flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt in a bowl. Cut in cold butter then mix in cheddar cheese.
  7. Add milk gradually until combined; drop spoonfuls over the seafood filling in a baking dish.
