  • 1/2 c. butter (softened)
  • 3 1/2 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • Just enough milk for thinning

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a 9″x13″ baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  3. 3. Add eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract; mix until fully incorporated.
  4. 4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt before gradually adding to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. 5. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 18–20 minutes until set.
  6. 6. Allow to cool completely before frosting with prepared buttercream.
